Purpose and Scope<\/strong><\/p><p class=\"translation-block\">This guideline has been prepared to determine the standards regarding the preparation, submission, and evaluation processes of papers to be submitted to the <em>International Congress on Aviation Studies<\/em>, hosted by Bal\u0131kesir University between September 17\u201319, 2026. The guideline aims to enhance the scientific quality of submitted papers and to ensure that the evaluation process is conducted in a transparent and consistent manner.<\/p><hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/><p><strong>2. Paper Submission Process<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>2.1. General Principles<\/strong><\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li class=\"translation-block\">Papers must be submitted electronically through the congress submission system.<\/li><li>Submitted papers must be original, must not have been previously published, and must not be under review by another congress or academic event.<\/li><li class=\"translation-block\">For our congress, only <strong><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/icas.academicianstudies.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/HAVACILIK-OZET-BILDIRI-KITAP-SABLONU.docx\" target=\"_blank\">abstracts<\/a> (100\u2013300 words) or <a href=\"https:\/\/icas.academicianstudies.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/HAVACILIK-TAM-METIN-BILDIRI-KITAP-SABLONU-INGILIZCE.docx\" target=\"_blank\">full-text papers<\/a> (at least 2,000 words) are accepted.<\/li><li class=\"translation-block\">The subject of the paper must be compatible with the congress main theme, designated as \u201c<strong>Artificial Intelligence and Strategic Transformation in Aviation<\/strong>.\u201d<\/li><li>The study is expected to have the potential to contribute to the international academic literature.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>2.2. Submission Calendar<\/strong><\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Deadline for Abstract Submission:<\/strong> September 7, 2026<\/li><li><strong>Deadline for Full Text Submission:<\/strong> September 30, 2026<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>2.3. Dil Tercihleri<\/strong><\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li class=\"translation-block\">The official languages of the congress are <strong>Turkish and English.<\/strong><\/li><li class=\"translation-block\">For papers written in Turkish, an English title, abstract, and keywords are required in order to increase international accessibility and strengthen the visibility of the congress.<\/li><li class=\"translation-block\">For papers written in English, it is important to minimize grammar and spelling errors. Therefore, authors are advised to have their abstracts or full texts reviewed by a professional language editing service or by an academic whose native language is English before uploading them to the system.<\/li><li class=\"translation-block\">Our congress offers professional English editing services for authors upon request. To benefit from this service, you may send your papers to <span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"mailto:academicianstudies@gmail.com\" target=\"_self\">academicianstudies@gmail.com\n<\/a><\/span>.<\/li><li class=\"translation-block\">A scientific writing style should be preferred, and unnecessarily long or complex expressions should be avoided. Texts should be prepared in a clear, concise, and academically appropriate manner.<\/li><li><strong>T\u00fcrk\u00e7e ve \u0130ngilizce bildiriler<\/strong>, yaz\u0131m ve noktalama kurallar\u0131na uygun olmal\u0131d\u0131r. Responsibilities of the Corresponding Author<\/strong><\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all authors are included in the author list and that all authors have approved the final version of the paper.<\/li><li>The corresponding author is also responsible for maintaining communication with the congress editorial team and managing revision processes.<\/li><\/ul><hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/><p><strong>3. Paper Format<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>3.1. File Format<\/strong><\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Abstract papers must be prepared in accordance with the guidelines and should be between 100 and 300 words.<\/li><li class=\"translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Full-text papers, including the abstract, main text, tables, references, and appendices, must be at least 2,000 words. <\/span><a style=\"font-size: 16px;background-color: #ffffff\" href=\"https:\/\/icas.academicianstudies.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/HAVACILIK-TAM-METIN-BILDIRI-KITAP-SABLONU-INGILIZCE.docx\" target=\"_self\">Click here for the full-text template.<\/a><\/li><\/ul><p><strong>3.2. Page Layout<\/strong><\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li class=\"translation-block\">Paper size: A4, 21 x 29.7 cm<\/li><li class=\"translation-block\">Margins: 2.5 cm from the right, left, top, and bottom<\/li><li class=\"translation-block\">Font: Times New Roman<\/li><li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Writing and Formatting: <\/strong>The Full-Text Proceedings Template should be followed for the font, font size, headings, paragraphs, tables, figures, and reference formatting of the papers.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>3.3. Title Information<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>The Turkish and English titles of the paper should clearly and accurately reflect the content of the study.<\/li><li>The Full-Text Proceedings Template should be followed for the writing and formatting of the titles.<\/li><li>If the paper is derived from a postgraduate thesis, this information should be indicated in a footnote attached to the title.<\/li><li>If the study is supported by an institution, organization, or project, the funding information should be indicated in a footnote attached to the title.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>3.4. Author Information<\/strong><\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The authors\u2019 names and surnames should be written below the paper title in the format shown in the template.<\/li><li>Each author\u2019s academic title, institutional affiliation, e-mail address, and ORCID information should be provided in a footnote linked to the author\u2019s name.<\/li><li>The corresponding author should also be identified in the relevant author footnote.<\/li><li>ORCID information should be provided as an ORCID link (https:\/\/orcid.org\/\u2026), as shown in the template.<\/li><li>The Full-Text Proceedings Template should be followed for the writing and formatting of author information.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>3.5. Abstract and Keywords<\/strong><\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Papers written in Turkish should include both Turkish and English abstracts, while papers written in English should include only an English abstract.<\/li><li>The abstract should clearly and concisely present the aim, method, main findings, and originality of the study.<\/li><li>All papers should include a structured abstract of between 100 and 300 words, placed below the title on the first page and prepared in accordance with the format specified below.<\/li><li>The abstract should be written as a structured single paragraph.<br \/>The Turkish abstract should be followed by Anahtar Kelimeler, and the English abstract should be followed by Keywords.<\/li><li>Keywords should be selected to represent the subject and scope of the study.<\/li><li>At least 3 and no more than 5 concepts that are relevant to the paper and reflect the study as a whole should be listed as keywords below the abstract.<\/li><li>The Full-Text Proceedings Template should be followed for the writing and formatting of the Turkish abstract, English abstract, and keywords.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>3.6. Main Text<\/strong><\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Full-text papers should be structured to include the Introduction, Method, Findings, Discussion, and Conclusion sections. These sections may be supported by appropriate subheadings depending on the nature of the study and the research method.<\/li><li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Introduction: <\/strong>The problem, aim, scope, significance of the study, and relevant literature should be presented.<\/li><li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Method:<\/strong> Information regarding the research method, research design, sample, data collection, and analysis procedures should be explained.<\/li><li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Findings:<\/strong> The findings obtained from the research should be presented systematically and in accordance with the aim of the study.<\/li><li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Discussion and Conclusion: <\/strong>The main results of the study should be evaluated and related to the relevant literature, and the study\u2019s contribution, recommendations, and limitations should be stated.<\/li><li>The Full-Text Proceedings Template should be followed for the font, font size, headings, paragraphs, indentation, line spacing, and other formatting features of the main text.<\/li><li>In-text citations and the reference list should be prepared in accordance with APA 7 guidelines.<\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>3.7. Sections and Subheadings<\/strong><\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Sections and subheadings in the paper should be organized in a way that clearly reflects the content of the study.<\/li><li>The Full-Text Proceedings Template should be followed for the numbering, wording, hierarchy, and formatting of sections and subheadings.<\/li><li>The Introduction and Discussion and Conclusion sections should not be numbered.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>3.8. Figures, Diagrams, and Tables<\/strong><\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively and should have descriptive titles.<\/li><li>Tables and figures should be referred to in the text using their respective numbers.<\/li><li>Tables should be prepared using the table function in Microsoft Word and should not extend beyond the page margins.<\/li><li>Figures should be prepared in JPEG format.<\/li><li>Sources used in tables and figures should be cited in accordance with APA 7 guidelines.<\/li><li>The Full-Text Proceedings Template should be followed for titles, sources, font size, alignment, borders, and other formatting features of tables and figures.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>3.9. References<\/strong><\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>In-text citations and the reference list should be prepared in accordance with APA 7 guidelines.<\/li><li>All sources cited in the text must be included in the reference list, and all sources included in the reference list must be cited in the text.<\/li><li>If a source has a DOI number, the DOI information must be provided.<\/li><li>The Full-Text Proceedings Template should be followed for the font, font size, paragraphs, indentation, line spacing, and other formatting features of the reference list.<\/li><\/ul><hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/><p><strong>4. Evaluation Process<\/strong><\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Papers submitted to the congress will be evaluated through a double-blind peer-review system. In this process, the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential.<\/li><li>Reviewers will evaluate papers in terms of originality, scientific contribution, methodological adequacy, presentation of findings, and writing quality.<\/li><li>As a result of the peer-review process, papers may receive one of the following decisions: acceptance, rejection, or revision required.<\/li><li class=\"translation-block\">For more detailed information, please refer to the <a href=\"https:\/\/icas.academicianstudies.com\/en\/hakem\/\">Peer Review Guidelines.<\/a><\/li><\/ul><hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/><p><strong>5. Ethical Principles<\/strong><\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The originality of submitted papers is the responsibility of the authors.<\/li><li>The congress maintains a strict stance against all forms of ethical misconduct, copying, and plagiarism. By submitting their papers to the congress, authors are considered to have declared and undertaken that their work is original, has not been previously published on any platform, and is not simultaneously under evaluation by another event.<\/li><li>Plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, in whole or in part without proper citation is strictly unacceptable.<\/li><li>Papers submitted to the congress for publication must be checked using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin, iThenticate, or similar tools.<\/li><li>The similarity rate is expected to be below 20%.<\/li><li>\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>6.
